I hope everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine this weekend! Here are some notes and reminders about upcoming events and dates to add to your calendars. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
March 18 ~ Due to the number of snow days, there has been a change in the March 18th Professional Development Day. It is now a half day for students with a noon dismissal.
Little League Grant Opportunity ~ Families that qualify for reduced lunch, SNAP, or WIC can participate in a program that will pay Little League registration funds. This program is being sponsored by T-Mobile but you don’t have to be a service provider to qualify. In addition, if the family has already paid their Little League registration fee there is a process to be reimbursed.
The school wide character trait for March is Trustworthiness. Please speak with your child about different ways they can demonstrate being trustworthy at school, such as:
Do what you say you’ll do
Have the courage to do the right thing
Flu Season is upon us! Please be sure that your child is fever-free for 24 hours before they return to school to ensure that they are healthy!

Please consider setting up the voicemail feature on your phone. Often times if a call is missed, we are not sure how to direct your call when you call back. Staff will leave a message if they are able to and that will help us to be sure you can speak to whomever called you.
If you are going to change the dismissal plans for your child, please try to contact us by 2:00 pm. We know that there are circumstances that don’t allow for advanced notice, but it gets very hectic at the end of the day and we want to make sure that we have ample time to let the teachers know of any changes.
Students go outside for recess unless the “feels like” temperature is 20 degrees or below. Please be sure your child comes prepared with a coat, boots, snow pants, hat and gloves or mittens. If you do not have access to appropriate winter gear for your child, please let myself or Jen Renzi know.
With the Spring-like temperatures comes MUD SEASON! Please consider sending in extra clothing with your child in the event that they get muddy during recess.
You should have received a text message from School Messenger giving you the option to sign up for text messaging through our system for announcements. If you did not, please see the link at the very bottom of this email for instructions on how to opt in.
